Dr. Yarigtnetzilem (Yari) Diez earned her Doctor of Optometry degree at UC Berkeley where she was a member of the Honor Society.
Dr. Diez had her professional externships at the Veterans Affairs in San Francisco and Fresno Medical Centers, where she worked closely with corneal, retinal and glaucoma specialists from UCSF department of Ophthalmology. She has served diverse patient populations with high prevalences of glaucoma, cataracts, and diabetic eye disease. She also has experience working in in low-income clinics where she works with Spanish-speaking patients with particular exposure to pediatrics. She is therapeutically certified to diagnose, manage and treat various conditions and diseases of the eye.
Dr. Diez has excellent communication skills and speaks Spanish fluently. She has been involved with many community service organizations; including VOSH (Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity) an organization that provides eye care to underserved populations around the world.
When not in the office, she enjoys hiking, yoga and spending time with her husband.
